Rosa Maria Paya is a Cuban pro-democracy activist who has been a prominent civil society campaigner since 2009. She was part of the Coordination Team of the Christian Liberation Movement (MCL) and has worked as a member of the Redaction Council of Somos Liberación, an MCL publication.
Paya has appeared before many important international forums, including the United Nations Human Rights Council, the European Parliament, the US Senate, the Organization of American States, the Summit of the Americas and several national parliaments.
