Centa Rek is a Bolivian attorney with several years of experience in corporate and environmental law within the oil and gas industry, and further experience working in the field of international human rights law, focusing on the intersection of civil and political rights and authoritarianism. Centa joined the Human Rights Foundation’s (HRF) legal and policy department in 2012, and has since successfully litigated before international semi-judicial bodies, authored human rights law reports, petitions, and amici curiae, and led advocacy campaigns raising awareness about human rights violations in authoritarian countries.
In 2021 Centa moved to Georgetown University for further legal studies.
