Dang Xuong Hung

Dang Xuong Hung is a diplomat who defected from the Vietnamese Communist Party.

After joining Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983, Hung rose through the ranks to become Consul in Geneva, serving from 2008 to 2012. He defected just prior to his country’s Universal Periodic Review before the Geneva-based Human Rights Council.
