Juan Branco is a French lawyer and the former President of Jeune République, the think-tank that gives out the prestigious René Cassin award with the support of the International Criminal Court [ICC] and Amnesty International.
In 2010 it was the René Cassin award that permitted Baltasar Garzón to be nominated as an investigating magistrate at the ICC despite his being suspended as a judge in Spain.
