Luis Enrique Ferrer Garcia

Luis Enrique Ferrer Garcia is a Cuban dissident who received a 28 year prison sentence in the Black Spring crackdown of 2003.

During his imprisonment Garcia engaged in a series of hunger strikes to protest his unjust treatment and the conditions imposed on him by prison authorities. He was freed in November 2010, only to be exiled along with his family.

Garcia is the official representative of the Cuban Patriotic Union abroad, while his brother, Jose Daniel Ferrer Garcia, is its representative on the island.
