Alfred H. Moses has served as Chair of UN Watch over the past three decades. Attorney, author, and former partner in a major Washington law firm, he was special counsel to President Carter, U.S. ambassador to Romania, and special presidential envoy for the Cyprus conflict. He was national president of the American Jewish Committee, and is the author of Bucharest Diary: Romania’s Journey from Darkness to Light and several other books.
His articles have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other leading periodicals worldwide. In 2002 he was awarded Romania’s Marc Cruce Medal (Order For Merit) by President Ion Iliescu, the only American to have been so honored.
