Julieta López

Julieta López is the aunt of the Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo López.

Leopoldo López was arrested in February 2014 on charges of conspiracy, a move considered by several international organizations to be politically motivated, given his leading role in the 2014 protests against the government of Nicolas Maduro.

López was freed from detention in April 2019 as part of the 2019 Venezuelan uprising. He was finally reunited with his family in October 2020.
