Naghmeh Abedini is the wife of Iranian-American Christian Pastor, Saeed Abedini, who was sentenced to 8 years in Iran’s infamously brutal Evin Prison in 2012 for his faith.
Abedini campaigned tirelessly for the release of her husband, speaking before the U.S. Congress, the UN, and countless news outlets. She secured his release as part of a prisoner swap in 2016.
In 2019 a U.S. court ruled that Mr. Abedini was due $47m in compensation for the torture he experienced in Iran.
