Yeon-Mi Park is a North Korean defector and activist. She escaped North Korea with her family in 2007 and rose to international prominence after she told her heartbreaking story of suffering under the Kim regime to the 2014 One Young World conference.
Park published a memoir entitled In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl’s Journey to Freedom in September 2015, and now runs a popular YouTube channel called Voice of North Korea by Yeonmi Park.
