Pete Pattisson

Pete Pattisson is an award-winning investigative journalist based in Nepal. He has spent more than ten years reporting on labor exploitation and modern forms of slavery around the world. In 2013, Pattisson’s report on the deaths of migrant construction workers in Qatar, which is hosting the 2022 World Cup, made international headlines. He has continued to expose the systemic abuse suffered by tens of thousands of impoverished migrant workers building the infrastructure for the global sporting event.

Pete regularly contributes to The Guardian and has won a Webby Award and been recognized by Amnesty International for his human rights advocacy.
